I just wanted to post a few from the wedding & reception of the darling couple.  I had fun taking pictures at a wedding!  Thanks to Matthew and Marissa I'll have another wedding to shoot at the end of August.  I can't wait.  It's fun to see the pictures at the end of the day and even more fun when it's family.  I love these two so much and I hope they had a fabulous day.  I can't wait though for them to feel the pain I did, standing in 100 degree weather chasing after 3 kids who were hungry, bored and miserable.  They just had to hold hands and smile at the cameras.  I dripped from head to toe chasing kids and still had to jump in on a few of the family photos and smile.  One day... you'll feel my pain!  At least I hope you do.  I had to let you all know my true feelings.  Cause when do I not?

On Saturday we went to Raging Waters to celebrate Grandpa and Uncle Matthew birthday and to watch Mallory perform with her dance group.  We had a great day!  The kids love the water!

We had a fabulous 4th of July at Murray pool where we spent most of the day hanging out with Grandpa, Grandma, Aunt Wendy and family.  We enjoyed several hours of eating, and swimming.  The kids could live there I'm afraid so they had a blast.  Later that night we met up and went out to eat with everyone at Cafe Rio.  Then it was home where we watched our neighbors do their box of fireworks.  It was a great 4th of July.

I wish I had a picture for this story.  It seems I've always got a latest "story" about Jett.  The sweetheart, testimony bearing little boy that he is, is also a definite 2 1/2 year old boy.  A few days ago I was out in the backyard playing with Sky and Jett while Brooke was napping.  I came inside to check on Brooke.  I came in just as she was waking up and because it hadn't been a very long nap, I tried to cuddle her back to sleep.  This meant that I was inside leaving Jett outside by himself for more than two seconds.  (You've got to keep an eye on that kid!)  By the time I got back down to check on him, I looked outside and there he was laying down on his belly with the hose on and running in one hand and making swimming motions with the other.  I in a stearn voice said, "What do you think you're doing?"  In his adorable little voice he said, "I'm swimming."  But of course, that's exactly what it looked like.  He was soaked from head to toe.  I couldn't help but quickly change him into dry clothes and hug him.  He was so sweet and innocent, even though he had just added to my pile of laundry with more wet laundry, I couldn't get mad.  I smiled inside and called to tell Neils the cute story.

Thank you Carin Davis!  Once again, you did an amazing job.  I love the pictures and am so grateful you were able to capture some of the milestones in Brooke's first year.  I am grateful to know you and to have learned from you.  Thanks for everything!!!

Get Smart
We went to "get Smart" from the airport.  Logan/Uncle Logan is home from his mission.  After picking him up we went and saw the movie "Get Smart."  It was fabulous!
We are so excited to have him back.  This is #2 of many exciting things to happen on the Smart side of the family.  Wendy had her darling baby in May, Logan came home and now it's a baby blessing followed by two weddings.  Lots of summer fun!
Welcome home Logan!

What happens when you leave a 2 1/2 year old boy with a pan of cookie dough...

Daddy caught him and then joined in for the fun...

Okay you're too cute to get mad at!

Brookes final photo shoot with Carin Davis. I love her work and am so grateful she was able to fit her into her busy schedule and capture the milestones of her first year. I can't believe she's a year old already. I remember setting up the dates for her 3, 6, 9 and 12 months with her. It's come and gone already. Thanks Carin for the beautiful work you do and for the chance I've had to learn a little from you. You're amazing!

My heart melts again...

Today at church it was Fast and Testimony meeting. A little boy (he's Sky's age and in her Primary class) got up and bore his testimony. Jett saw him and said, "I want to do that!" Neils immediately said, "Okay." I gave Neils the look of "don't you dare let him go up there by himself" so Neils said "I'll go with him". With hesitation, I said "okay." Jett marched right up there with the biggest smile on his face. I was worried. Neils put him up on the stool so he could reach the mic and went to whisper something for him to say in his ear. Before he could Jett had already started talking and said... "I love my mommy, I love the church, Jesus Christ amen." And with a smile walked back to his seat. Sky met him halfway in the isle and gave him a big hug and said to him, "You did a great job Jett!" I couldn't help but melt. I felt like, maybe I am doing something right at home. He is an angel child. He has his moments like any other 2 year old boy, but he is the sweetest, most darling boy. Thanks for making my day Jett! I love you!

Welcome Macy

Could she be any cuter?! She looks like a McCarter baby for sure! She's darling with lots of dark hair and cute LONG feet. Little Macy was born on Sunday May 18th (Garretts birthday) at 5:25pm. She was 7lbs 10oz and 21 in long. We're so excited she's here. Can't wait to smother her with more kisses. Course, Mallory may have given her all the kisses she could possible want in a lifetime already!
